Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning…

September 15th
Thank you to everyone who supported ou rMacmillan Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 23rd September. A great morning was had by all, a big thank you to Julie who devised a most entertaining quiz a mixture of name that tune and dance that tune, then name this bird,that she expertly mimed stood precariously on top of a chair. ( just hilarious ). Thank you to everyone who made cakes and donated prizes we have raised £372.00 for this very worthy cause.

Bere Regis Performer Of The Year 2011…

September 15th
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Performer of the Year Competition and especially to the worthy winners who were :- in the Under 18’s Section Rhianna Webb and in the Adult section Ernie Bradshaw.
The St John the Baptist Junior Church took the audience choice vote with their JC Puppet theatre.
Also congratulations to the winners of the volunteer Awards they are:-Young Volunteer of the Year Emma Menzies.Volunteer of the Year, for her work with the Pop In Poppets Group, Lynn Fancy.
The Outstanding Commitment Award went to Joanna Syrett.
There was a full house to watch the eleventh annual Performer of the Year Competition, and a very varied show we had, with singing, dancing, recitals, comedy and a sketch with a most unexpected appearance by District Councillor Peter Wharf.
All the children were truly amazing as always are all credit to us at the Performers group and to their parents, I will never forget Rhianna’s face as she walked up to receive her award reflecting a combination of total surprise and utter joy, moments like that are just priceless.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped at this event and special thanks to Julie Lye for her help with organising this popular competition.
