BBC Children In Need Appeal..

November 18th
Thank you to everyone who supported the Pop In Place "Children In Need" Appeal this morning, we had some great Raffle Prizes and lots of lovely home made cakes, and a variety of stalls and games.
Special thanks must go to Stella who made a beautiful Patchwork Quilt for us to raffle.
A Big thankyou to the Performers Group who staged a set from the popular musical Dreamboats and Petticoats and to all the Team who helped out with the event and to everyone who came along to support it.
We have raised £370 for the appeal, well done to everyone who came along and showed their Spots for Pudsey.
Here are some photos taken during the morning :

To conclude Commander Christopher Maunder :-
When you go home tell them of us and say -For your tomorrow we gave our today

Colin Smith Celebrates his 90th Birthday…

November 11th
As Colin was a Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force news of his 90th birthday sits very nicely into this posting.
Yesterday we visited him in his Dorchester home that he shares with his wife Jean and passed on the groups good wishes for his significant birthday. Colin was in great spirits and asked for his best wishes to be sent back to all who knew him at the Pop In Place from when he was a member of the Team.
