Pop In Place Bere Regis Remembering Her Majesty the Queen

This year, the Pop In Place has focussed greatly on Her Majesty, The Queen. The Pop In Performers’ production in May was entitled, ‘Happy and Glorious’ which looked back over the last 70 years of Her reign through song and dance.

The old village hall resounded in enthusiastic and patriotic singing of the national anthem, accompanied with much flag-waving when we held a wonderful jubilee tea party in early June to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.

Little did we know that Her Majesty’s passing was just around the corner, but how happy we all were that she was able to witness, through the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the great love and respect that is held for Her throughout the United Kingdom and beyond.

As the world, the country, and of course our small village of Bere Regis, mourn the great loss, it calls to mind her words… “Grief is the price you pay for Love.”

Rest in peace Ma’am, thank you for everything.
