On Good Friday we held our special Easter Event this was very well attended. Our thanks to the JC Puppet Theatre for a brilliant performance and well done to all the new children who took part. The puppets are a regular feature of the Family Service at St John the Baptist every second Sunday in the month at 11am why not go along and see them. The Easter bonnet parade was judged by Di Ventham and Peter Wharf and thanks to them, they had quite a difficult task as all the entries were so different and they were only allowed to pick one winner in each section. The winner of the under 9’s went to Megan Manning, the winner of the over 9’s was Jazmin Burbidge Hughes and the adult winner with a very beautiful and traditional Easter bonnet with fresh flowers on it went to Liz Farley. Well done to everyone who took part ,helping keep this old tradition going for yet another year. The Egg Raffle proved very popular this year as did Ruth’s game well done to Doreen Hall for her excellent guess-work on the number of eggs in the jar.Thank you to everyone who came along and supported this event and to all the team who helped with it and for all the kind donations of Easter Eggs a most enjoyable morning was had and a profit of £255 was taken in the two hours. The Pop In Place Team wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
