Points of Light Award…

Friday 8th December I was incredibly honoured today to be presented with a Prime Ministers Point of Light Award. The first person in this constituency and the 849th person in the UK. The      point      of      light      programme      recognises      outstanding      volunteers      who      are      making      a      real      difference      in their community. Thank you so much I am truly delighted. Alison Bennett

I was incredibly moved to receive the Prime Ministers Award for outstanding Volunteering. I knew absolutely nothing about it and it was a truly lovely surprise. So      many      people      have      voiced      or      written      or      emailed      how      much      they      felt      I      deserved      it      and      that      really did make it even more special. I         realise         that         you         have         to         be         nominated         by         an         MP         and         I         have         of         course         written         to         Michael Tomlinson to thank him for that. I      would      also      like      to      place      on      record      my      sincere      thanks      to      all      who      work      alongside      me      within      the community:    “As  a  person  is  only  as  good  as  the  people  around  them ”  This  makes  Bere  Regis  a very bright place. Thank you all so much

Our      Christmas      Show      “Where      is      the      Love”      The      show      was      a      great      success,      show      casing      some      very talented      youngsters      and      raising      £902      to      be      split      between      the      Fire      Fighters      Charity      and      the      Latymer Community      Church,      situated      near      Grenfell      tower      and      carrying      out      hands      on      support      for      the      victims   of the fire.   The Pop In Place has arranged a Fun Quiz on Friday 16th February 10.30 by Lyn Simmonds
